UGC (User-Generated Content)
UGC is authentic, unpolished content created by real customers or creators rather than a brand's own marketing team, commonly used in ads because it tends to outperform polished brand content.
UGC-style content works because it looks like organic social content rather than an ad, which lowers a viewer’s guard and builds trust faster than obviously polished production. Brands increasingly commission UGC-style content deliberately — briefing creators to produce native-feeling videos specifically for use as paid ad creative, even when it isn’t organically posted first.
