Free Marketing Budget Calculator

Answer three questions and get a realistic monthly budget range plus a recommended channel mix — a starting point for a conversation, not a guarantee.

How this is calculated

We use commonly cited small-business marketing budget benchmarks — roughly 8-15% of revenue depending on how aggressive your goal is — adjusted for your stated market and goal. If you're pre-revenue, we give a flat starting-budget range instead, based on what's realistic to properly test a channel rather than a percentage of revenue you don't have yet. No hidden formula, no fake precision — just a reasonable starting point.

How to use the Marketing Budget Calculator

  1. Choose your market: Pakistan, for budgets in PKR, or International, for budgets in USD.
  2. Pick your current monthly revenue bracket, or "Pre-revenue / just starting" if you haven't made sales yet.
  3. Choose your main goal: lead generation, e-commerce sales, brand awareness or app downloads.
  4. Click "Calculate My Budget" to see a monthly budget range and a suggested split across channels.

What to do with your results

The percentage used depends on your goal: about 8% of revenue for brand awareness, 10% for lead generation, 13% for e-commerce sales and 15% for app downloads. Treat the result as a starting range to test for two to three months, then move budget toward the channels bringing in the cheapest customers, not just the cheapest clicks.

Frequently asked questions

How is this budget estimate calculated?

Based on commonly cited small-business marketing budget benchmarks (roughly 8-15% of revenue depending on your goal), adjusted for market and goal. It's a starting point, not a guarantee.

What if I don't know my monthly revenue yet?

Select "Pre-revenue / just starting" for a flat starting-budget range instead of a percentage-based estimate.

What percentage of revenue should a small business spend on marketing?

Commonly cited benchmarks put it at roughly 8 to 15% of revenue, with the higher end for aggressive growth goals such as e-commerce sales or app downloads.

How long should I test a budget before changing it?

Usually two to three months, so each channel gets enough data to judge its cost per lead or cost per sale before you move money around.
