Database Reactivation
Database reactivation is re-engaging past leads and customers already in your CRM or contact lists with relevant messages, to turn old enquiries into new business without new ad spend.

Most businesses have hundreds or thousands of past enquiries who never bought, or customers who haven't returned. A reactivation campaign sends them a relevant, personal message, such as a check-in, a new offer or a reminder, and routes replies to the sales team.
Reactivation campaigns must respect consent: only contact people who agreed to hear from you or have a lawful existing relationship, include an easy opt-out, and follow local rules on calls, texts and emails.
Database reactivation in practice
A home services company sends a short, friendly message to customers who requested quotes last year but didn't book. Replies are handled by AI and booked into the calendar, producing new jobs from leads it had already paid for.

Common questions about database reactivation
Does database reactivation work?
It often does, because past leads already know your business. Results depend on list quality, consent, timing and the offer.
Which channels work best for reactivation?
Text, WhatsApp, email and calls can all work. Multi-channel sequences usually get the best response, within consent rules.
Is it legal to message old leads?
Only with valid consent or a lawful basis, depending on your country. Rules such as the TCPA, PECR and CASL set different requirements.
How often should we run reactivation campaigns?
Many businesses run them a few times a year, or around new offers and seasonal demand, rather than messaging the same list constantly.
